Tall Chair was founded in 2009 with the intentin to create story driven experiences on touch devices. Within a few months of our founding we started work on Sherlock Holmes Mysteries for Warner Brothers.

Not long after Sherlock Holmes Mysteries was on the market Apple announced the launch of the iPad and we began development of our vision of an interactive graphic novel that would take advantage of the yet unseen platform. 

Upon completion of Operation Ajax we realized that we had created the most state of the art authoring tool for interactive books and magazines available - so we spent several months polishing the tool to become The Active Reader.   

Used to create Operation Ajax, the #4 downloaded book on the iPad, and Penguin Group USA's Skippyjon Jones - The Active Reader is now creating next generation magazines, graphic novels, children's books, adult education and corporate marketing apps.
